We had vaccine sceptics analysts and beanbag scientists
Facilitated by pro-government fence-sitters in the midst
Arbitrating on behalf of no one asked the silly pricks
It's like nearly 2 years of this craic cracked a few but shur look
There's not much left to crack when the omelettes already been cooked
You could feel the R rate climb as brain cells they got stripped
Of all their faculties as they spread their hateful shit
then the strangest thing that happened with each pint that I drank
The more drunk that I got the more my memory came back
And suddenly it dawned when reality it hit
What I had idealised for so long no longer fit
The thing that made me quit at first when the virus struck
Spent 12 months on the dry with not one given fuck
And did I miss it did I fuck? I realised right then
I missed the isolation more than I missed my friends
